The wide open highway [25 Nov 2009|12:40am]
[ mood | good times man ]
[ music | Dethklok-Mermaider ]

Almost 2 weeks ago I left the state of Michigan for the first time in 3 years. Mary wanted to see her friends, her friends all the way in Beloit, WI, and she brought me along for the ride. After 5 or 6 hours, thanks to the time difference, we were finally in the small, and kind of crappy, town of Beloit. Over the next 3 days I met her friends, good people all around, put more alcohol inside of me then I ever have, saw Grease, ate a crepe, and bowled for the first time in 3 years. Unfortunately I didn't have any money at the time, but Mary was gracious enough to cover for me, instead of, you know, letting me starve. I think the drive home was better then the drive there, even if we gained an hour bringing the total to 7.

On the way to Beloit we stopped by a little comic shop in Illinois. When I saw little I mean little; think of a small house, then renovate that small house and put a small collection of comics in it. That's what the shop was like. Thanks to us stopping there I got Mary interested in collecting the Blackest Night collector rings. I've already gotten the blue and pink for her, and tomorrow I'll get her a Green Lantern ring.

With my sister home her boyfriend is always over for some reason. I don't know why, but he's always fucking over. Every night I seem him descend the stairs and go into her room with her. Why is he always over? I don't have Mary over all the time, and she sleeps over even less. Why is this? Well we're two different people, we have lives that don't always revolve around each other.

Thanks to Mary I am now employed, and just in time for the holiday season. She has graciously gotten the word out that I needed a job at Petsmart and they hired me on her word. So far I've had 3 short days of training; going through the rules, watching the videos, filling out the paperwork, and doing something like a scavenger hunt. This Friday, Black Friday, they have me doing real work. At least I hope they do. At least I don't have to come in at 4 AM to stock any more.

Two days till Turkey Day. I probably won't post anything new till after it so I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

This is Halloween 2009 [02 Nov 2009|12:31am]
[ mood | amused ]

I spent all of Halloween, and Devil's/Angel's Night with Mary. For Halloween proper we handed out candy at her house, me in costume with her in regular clothes, and eating candy that we didn't hand out. What did I dress as? If you can't figure it out from these, I was Walter Sobchak from the Big Lebowski. Before Halloween we made a day of carving pumpkins. I did this Joker stencil design, while Mary did a something like this design. Unfortunately by Halloween the face was missing (I think squirrels carried it off in the night but who knows). I wanted to do this design too, but after the difficulty with the Joker one I said fuck it and did a standard design. For Devil's/Angel's Night I was invited to a party, thrown by my friend Genny, in New Baltimore. By the time we got there though, everyone but Genny and her boyfriend were gone. Not wanting to leave early we decided to watch The Birds, since Mary hadn't seen it yet, and then we left.

Thanks to a mix up with Gamespot, Steve got a second code for the Left 4 Dead 2 demo, and I'm playing the hell through it. The new infected help change the gameplay; the new weapons are awesome, especially the melee weapons and the new sniper rifle; I love the new survivor characters; and I can't wait for the release of it. I knew it was a day one buy, but almost impossibly they sold it on me even more.

Tomorrow Laura comes home from rehab. All good things must come to an end.

Nobody does it like Mary again [19 Oct 2009|02:06pm]
[ mood | content ]

It's been over a month since Mary and I have been going out, and I couldn't be happier. Every time we are together we try to do something, from driving to Ann Arbor to visiting out of the way porn shops just to see what they're like, but most of the time we spend together is on the couch watching TV, and I love it. I'm completely content sitting with her, watching what ever may be on. From time to time there are special events that we bring each other along to. From her grandmas birthday to my cousin's daughter's baptism, we're just happy to be together. We're even planning to spend Halloween together at her house, handing out candy to the local kids while in costume. If you didn't read all that, the one thing to take away from it is that I'm happy being with her. One thing I especially like about Mary, for some odd reason, is her long hair. Sitting on the couch and watching TV, sitting in church, even watching a movie in theaters I enjoy playing with her hair.

Hailey's at that age where if something goes wrong or she doesn't get her way she just starts bawling her eyes out. At first I didn't know this, thinking my mom was some horrible person when I would be woken by Hailey's piercing cries, but after looking after Hailey I finally found out most of the problem is with her. You don't think she should have a cookie? She cries. You want her to put some clothes on? She cries. She wants to go downstairs but you think she shouldn't? She cries. Sometimes she just cries to cry, and it's never nice. Whenever Mary's over when Hailey is staying at our house I tell her, "(Hailey)'s a walking contraceptive." Welcome to the terrible twos I guess.

If you've been following my facebook account then you probably already know that I have a new job. I'm now a dishwasher/runner at The Blue Nile in Ferndale. The odd thing, I didn't even know there was such a classification as Ethiopian food.

Another cool thing in my life is that I'm spending time with a wonderful woman. Last Wednesday we walked around Royal Oak to show her around, and even though I got some terrible blisters on my pinky toes it was absolutely fantastic.

Energized [26 Aug 2009|12:51pm]

[ music | Go Sailor-Fine Day for Sailing ]

I'm back from my sojourn to the north with my cousin Andrew and his father. Sure, Tawas isn't actually in the north, but it's more north than my current local. My time there was relaxing and exciting. Most of my time there was spent watching TV and lazing around, but the better times were the things we did in between that, mainly hiking, tubing, and seeing natural monuments. Something I was quite fond of during my time there was how quiet everything was. One could hear the birds, the quiet rustle of the trees, and other sounds of nature, but rarely could I hear the roar of an engine, aside from the occasional boat out on the lake, or the sounds of Michigan construction. Another awesome thing, when I got home my sister was already gone and the baby was over at the other grandparents house for the night. I did come back to a whole new set of drama though as my Aunt Nancy seeks restitution from Laura to the tune of over $7,000, an amount I don't think she will ever get seeing as how Laura doesn't have a job and when she does she will be using the money to take care of Hailey and further her dream to become a hair dresser.

Something else of note; despite the fact that my uncle installed wireless modem in the cabin, I rarely, if ever, went online. The one time I did was to see if there was anything new on my latest addiction, in my efforts to be more aware of upcoming movies, Trailer Addict. My cousin Andrew, on the other hand, went online nightly to play World of Warcraft. Well not actually play. Because his main character is at the highest level he didn't go on quests and spent most of his time talking with his guild on the side bar and floating on a magic carpet. We did watch a lot of TV though, most of our time at the cabin it was overcast and a little cold outside. We mostly spent our TV time watching Food Networking and hoping to one day visit the locals they went to.

Odd, my posts seem to be few and far in between these days. Anyway, time to post.

This week was a pretty good week. Laura left for rehab at the beginning of the week, and Hailey went with her other grandparents to their cabin up north. Quiet all around. To top things off my dad stopped by yesterday and gave me a check for my entire tuition.

Once more I am unemployed. That's right I've been laid off by Sushi Do again. That's the second fucking time and I'm all ready to be done with them. Hell, I'm tired with working in the food industry as a whole. This especially sucks because now is the time I need an income, what with paying for tuition and all the video games that come out this Fall.

Okay, link time:
-Why did Nintendo send him a rock?
-New Where the Wild Things Are trailer, I am so very excited for this movie. When I saw the first trailer in theaters I started tearing up.
-Beat Monsters, an awesome game.

Oh, Gorillaz's comes to Rock Band this week with Clint Eastwood, Feel Good INC, and Rehash. I'm pretty excited.

[ music | Nico Vega-Wooden Dolls ]

Another 11 days, so time for another post.

Hailey's birthday party was a blast. A lot more people turned out then I thought and they seemed to have a great time. As usual I spent most of my time hanging out with Andrew and Adam shooting the breeze. Adam told us all about his adventures in Germany and how wasted they would get every night. I tried a little Heineken, realized it wasn't for me, and went back to drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade. We busted out Rock Band later in the day and the usual victims went along with it.

I think Comic Con has come and gone, I'm not really sure about these things. To my disappointment supposedly the biggest thing at it was for Twilight, at least that's what my paper said. Something cool I just found out about is that Top Cow has announced a new Darkness game. I loved the original, especially the moments with jenny, and I can't wait to play the sequel. Something cool to come out of Marvel is the announcement of new Marvel themed Sackboys.

Speaking of Marvel, if you get a chance you should watch the Hulk Vs series. Hulk VS Thor was just alright, but Hulk Vs Wolverine was amazing, especially it's portrayal of Deadpool.

Two things of note this week; Marvel vs Capcom 2 is finally released for Xbox Live and Mouse Guard Winter: 1152 is supposed to be released.

I want to head up north to Adam and Andrew's cabin some time this summer. I want to get away from Royal Oak for at least a little time, especially get away from Laura (by the way, she's almost gone!!).

Torch it down [16 Jul 2009|12:23am]
[ mood | fuck school ]

It's been what, 11 days since I said I was going to make a post? Then lets get to it.

Hailey's dad is finally gone, and it seems he will be for some time. Not years, but quite a few months. He's going to jail then boot camp, without the option of a tether like my sister got. Honestly, Hailey is better having him out of her life as much as possible.

Remember the changes to the menu at Sushi Do that confused every single cashier? Well it's back, but now it's more manageable. Instead of everything being by itself, now they ahve the numbers and the main dishes together, then the add ons on one page. Everything is easier and I am happier for it.

Right now I'm actually kind of depressed. It seems that each day my goal of Wayne State by 2010 gets farther and farther away. It turns out that everything I thought I knew wasn't true at all. Classes I never even knew I had to do come out of no where and classes I desperately need have 2 credit pre-req courses. 2 FUCKING CREDITS!!! Now it looks like I can't do a single science class that I want. Every single one I need has been filled in two days. The kicker here is that, even if I wanted to, I couldn't have registered for them because I'm not fucking priority. Instead of dreaming I start mulling over this. It seems like every day I am one step closer to doing something terrible to the nearest campus. This school is slowly killing my soul.

Enough of that, time for some movie talk:
I saw Moon with Andrew and Steve on Sunday. Steve seems set on hate the wonky science that sets up the back story, but like me he enjoyed the movie. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's it's trailer. I haven't really seen much of Sam Rockwell. All I've ever seen him in is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe as Zaphod Beeblebrox, and then the trailer for Choke where I guess he's a scumbag. He does a great job in this movie and I liked Kevin Spacy as Gerty.

I finally saw Blade Runner. Not as good as people keep telling me. Andrew, Kyle, and I had a good time making fun of it. Also that ending, fuck it. I knew there was going to be some dues ex machina to save him, but the guy dying after talking to him? Fuck that.

Saw Spinal Tap too. We watched 15 minutes of it, said fuck it, then played Rock Band 2 the rest of the time we were there.

Want to know the plot of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen without actually seeing it? Wait no more! I wouldn't have believed half of this if I hadn't seen it myself.

There will be a sequel to Alvin and the Chipmunks. Make peace with your god/gods.

So Ryan Reynolds is going to be Green Lantern. At least that's what's going around. I don't think he was my first choice, not by a long shot, but I guess he could work. Mostly if he keeps his mouth shut. I kind of wanted him for the role of the Flash, but guess who is in the lead rumor wise to play him? NPH. That's right, Neil Patrick Harris may be the Flash. And that, my friends, would be legendary.

Like I said I would in my last post, I saw Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen with Steve on Wednesday. Overall it was kind of shitty. The plot was a mess, then again I kind of knew it would be from the word of mouth about the reviews I was hearing about. Like I said, all I was expecting was robots changing into things and fighting each other, and holy fuck was there fighting. The fighting was definitely better in this movie then the last. In the first it seemed like the Autobots were evenly matched with the Decepticons, no one able to beat the other with the exception of Megatron killing Jazz, but in this one the Autobots fuck every Decepticon they come across. Hell, Optimus prime outmatches any Decepticon he gets in a fight with. He goes balls to the wall insane, going so far as to rip their faces or arms off. Oddly enough I really like Shia Labeouf in this. He played his part well and he seemed to grow into it over the course of the movie. What I did not like about the movie were the Twins. Mudflap and Skids are down right annoying, almost for the sake of being annoying. They spout quip after quip after quip after quip for what feels like forever. Also, Devastator had two wrecking ball testicles. Everyone in the theater groaned when they saw them.

The thing I, and most of the audience, hated about Transformers the most was that the first trailer to come on was for the Twilight sequel New Moon. As soon as we knew what it was groans and righteous anger echoed through the theater. I even shouted out, "WHY TRANSFORMERS?!?! WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO ME?!?!" The other trailers were all right, if forgettable, including M. Night's The Last Airbender. I would post the Penny Arcade strip, but it seems to be down at this time.

To redeem Wednesday Steve pulled out Fight Club and I finally got to watch an unabridged version. From the beginning I knew Edward Norton's character was Tyler Durden, but that was a drop in the ocean compared to what the movie would present me with. It was violent, it was surreal, it was trippy as fuck, and I loved pretty much every minute of it. Also, the theory that Edward Norton is really Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes really works well. I think I should read the book now to see how it holds up to the movie.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 comes out this Monday. I am going to play the hell out of it. Well, okay, maybe not the hell. I mean all of the characters are already unlocked so I won't need to go through it over and over again to get points or coins or what ever the hell they used in the original. But still, I will play the hell out of it.

I don't quite understand why but because I subscribed to EGM I am now getting Maxim, which was a little odd to explain. I don't like Maxim. To me it's like lite-lite-lite porn. I have enough trouble even thinking of buying porn, why would I want Maxim each month? I've gotta call and get my money back. On a side note, my mom says she kind of likes it, except for, you know, the half naked women.

Alright, time for a few links:
-This is how vampires should be; Daybreakers
-Awesome Left 4 Dead theme. One thing though, it's only free for OXM UK people
-I still need to look into this; There Will be Brawl

Steve let my borrow Prototype, and I have to say it's actually pretty good. If you've ever played Hulk: Ultimate Destruction then you've kind of played Prototype. The game lets you fly around and absorb/kill people, plus you can do guided karate kicks at flying helicopters and destroy them. Really, that's all you need. I don't think there's much there plot wise, just a basic revenge against the man plot, but it's pretty damn dark. As Alex Mercer you don't really need to care. You don't get any extra points for caring, though I think there is an achievement for not absorbing too many innocent people. I think it's interesting that you don't have some sort of, "With great power comes great responsibility," pushed on you like most other games like it have. All Alex cares about is figuring out what happened to him by getting his memories back, which happens when he eats people. Instead of outright telling you what happens you have to go through what is called the Web of Intrigue where you go around devouring marked people and they give you a flash of what's happened. Overall I kind of like it, but there's not much there.

I finally got a memory card for my Xbox 360 and have transferred my files and reformatted my hard drive. Unfortunately I accidentally got rid of my Fable 2 data and now I have to restart. On a plus note it's like I'm starting fresh, and if I get tired of the main story line I can always branch off into Knothole Island or See the Future. Also, I got Worms free when I bought the memory card. Don't exactly know how to play it, BUT IT'S FREE!!

I had some what of a snafu the other day. My Aunt Mandy's nieces Holly and Hannah came to Adam's grad party. Andrew kept telling me that they were lesbians, and for some reason this really pissed him off. I asked my mom the other day if she knew anything about it. She blankly looked at me, unsure of how to answer. She told me she didn't know and was wondering why Andrew told me that. She then asked me if I wanted her to ask Mandy if they were. Of course I told her, "I'd rather not know then bring that up."

I may have to kill my neighbor soon. For some god awful reason he likes to blast music out of his garage at terrible times in the morning. 9 AM IS NO TIME TO LISTEN TO RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, I DON'T CARE HOW AWESOME THEY ARE!! Laura tells me he's a personal trainer, but that still doesn't make it okay to wake me up early with the loud bass. I'm thinking I may have to get a bull horn and fuck with him, or some how sabotage his music collection.

Finally the air conditioning has been turned on. My mom's pretty stingy about it, so I was surprised when she told me it was going on during a particularly hot day.

Transformers 2 with Steve tomorrow. For some reason my co-worker Jeff isn't looking forward to it, but he is looking forward to the GI Joe movie. Sure, he cites it being terrible, but all I expect are robots transforming and fighting each other. How can I be disappointed?

Finally..FINALLY..Nobana has become Sushi Do. Back when I was laid off two months ago they said we were changing, and now it actually happened. We're having this big celebration over it, with free food and everything, and everyone here is so happy. Okay, not really. We got the new menus today and they are pretty confusing. Everything we knew, every combo we used to have, is pretty much gone. Everything has been reorganized, but not all that well. Not only are the customers confused but so are we. Today was pretty stressful. Tomorrow night looks to be better.

I've been keeping some weird hours lately. Going to sleep at 3 AM is no way to live, especially if I have to get up at 8 to get ready for work. A sleepy Matt is no good for anyone. I'm thinking of doing a week of going to sleep early, it might even coincide with my No Internet Week.

Steve has gotten me to play Pokemon again by letting me borrow his version of Pokemon: Platinum. I'm really getting in to it, looking things up on Bulbapedia and everything. Hell, I was freaking out over the fact that Snorunt had a special female evolved form, aka Froslass. I'm even excited to finally catch an Electabuzz so I can evolve it.

I'm done with VG Cats. The comic that helped me pick my name just doesn't draw me in any more. Not only have I not enjoyed it since the Bitch Be Tripping Balls comic, but when he does update he tells us he is working on a comic and going to a convention, which means that, no, there will be no comic any time soon. Hell, I'm getting more enjoyment out of VG Butts.

Adam's grad party was pretty fun for the most part. Hanging out with friends and family? Fun. Eating a little too much and having to lie down/feeling like vomiting? Not much fun. Good thing I didn't have to work on Saturday.

I got the call to work today. I was pretty excited....okay, not really. I mean now I am, but at the time I was a little tired. Chieko-san gave me a call at 10:30 AM saying I was scheduled to open today, and then stay the whole day. Why was this bad? I don't know if I mentioned it before, but we open at 10 AM. Having not had to work on Saturday, and the way Chieko-san was talking to me about my schedule, I had no clue I was even working this week. I got up, had a piece of watermelon for breakfast, and took the quickest shower I've had in a good long time, and managed to get to Nobana/Sushi Do by 11 AM.

Andrew and I saw The Hangover early on Friday. Go see this movie. Please, just do it. If you have a sense of humor, please see this movie. You will not be disappointed. One thing against it, there's a lot of dick in it. More then I expected.

So Laura has been released from jail, not prison like I've been thinking. I was all, "Yeah, she's shanking people and making them her bitch," but really she didn't do much. One thing I never got was how she could go through $60 a week. She's in jail, where does the money go? She told me the food was terrible, bit I retorted that she had never been to Scout Camp. Any way, yes, she's back. This has facilitated the need for me to get my room back, and so I have. I love my old/new room. I love being upstairs where the sun shines and the hair is clean. I love being so close to the bathroom, though I miss being able to walk naked around the house. One thing I don't miss is Hailey's dad being here. Why the fuck is he here? I had hoped he would go away with his court date the other day, but no such luck. God damn I hate him.

Yeah, I've got an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. Julianna Counts, Veronica Adkins, Julia Renkert, and myself sat through graduation and got our degrees. It was kind of boring at times, like pretty much all of the guest speakers talking. I can't honestly say I remember what they were saying, or even who the heck they were. I do remember standing up for a hell of a long time, having to wait for the ceremony to actually start, and then sitting for an equal amount of time.

One other thing; you wanna know how big graduation was for me? I actually shaved. If you haven't seen me in a while, ever since I left Nobana I have been cultivating a beard. At this time it had filled in nicely and did a good job of covering my face and chin, some even maybe spilling on to my neck. Today I took razor to skin, and after 10-15 minutes I had mostly hairless face (I still have my mustache and goatee combo).

Awesome, Conan's coming back this Monday. I hope the time change doesn't change him. I hope he still has the same off beat humor I have come to love. Also, I still want Jimmy Fallon to go away.

Dead in the head [20 May 2009|04:42pm]
[ mood | SHE'S COMING HOME ]
[ music | Tiny Tim-Living in the Sunlight ]

Well I'm mostly certain of what is wrong with my Xbox, kind of. I tried playing See the Future on Steve's Xbox and it still didn't work, so that means there is a problem with my hard drive. I'm thinking of buying a memory card to fix that, but then again I have no job and I need all the money I have to hold out till I get one. The alternative to the memory card, if it even works, is that I format my hard drive, thereby erasing all of my data on all of my other games. Thought that only means Mass Effect, Orange Box, Jet Set Radio Future, and Rock Band, because all of the other games I have on my hard drive I have long since sold off/stolen from me. I think it's just a small problem because none of the other data has been affected in the slightest, then again I could be wrong. On the matter of Bioshock, it turns out it actually worked when I used Steve's Xbox, so it's a system problem, and for some reason Steve won't let me borrow his Xbox in trade for mine so I can finally enjoy the awesomeness that was the Game of the Year for 2007.

The fun times are at an end, my sister comes home tomorrow. She's not actually out of jail yet, she's just home on a tether because the prisons are over crowded. This is terrible because here tether goes off if she's just a few feet from the house, meaning she's stuck at home until at least August. I need to get the fuck out of here as much as possible, and of course get a job. This also means my mom us moving up the moving my bed room schedule, and I may be getting an HD TV from my dad because he can't find a place to put it.

The future doesn't seem to want to work right [13 May 2009|02:37pm]

I have never been a fan of Star Trek. I've usually thought it was pretty hooky and unrealistic compared to say Star Wars, something that I've followed with some what of a passion ever since seeing the originals. Sure, they both have a suspension of disbelief to them, but I always thought that Star Wars had more basis in reality, even when they brought out glowing swords of plasma. Even so, I was tantalized (yes tantalized) by the trailers for the newest Star Trek movie. Even if you aren't a fan of Star Trek, if you're a nerd in any way you still may have a rudimentary understanding of the series. There is Kirk, Spock, Sulu, some Russian guy that has a speech impediment, and Scotty. When I finally went and saw the movie with Steve that was all I knew, and in the end that was all I needed. The movie took that knowledge and went from there, slowly adding everyone's favorite character to the crew of the Enterprise. People would die and the more famous people would replace them. The people playing the characters, to me at least, where perfect. Kirk was Kirk, Spock was Spock, Sulu was Sulu. The person I loved the most, and part of the reason I wanted to see the movie at all, was Simon Pegg. As par for the course, he was fucking hysterical. It seemed like every scene he was in he gave off some sort of witty radiance causing the audience to laugh hysterically. All in all it was a great film, with awesome characters, and I look forward to the eventual sequels.

The newest expansion for the video game Fable 2 is finally out, titled See the Future. So far my experience with it has been anything but pleasant. Yesterday I decided to buy it, even with my meager funds and lack of employment, now I regret that. First off it wouldn't let me download it. It would reach 94% and then tell me it couldn't be downloaded. After calling Xbox's Customer Service, and a little finagling, I finally got it to download. When I tried to play the game I had to then download an update, which my Xbox wouldn't download. A little more time, some system maintenance, and a little luck, finally it downloaded the update. Then....then it told me the disk was dirty and could not be read. I even went so far as to run the disc through some hot water to clean it of any smudge it may have, carefully cleaning it with a soft cloth to remove any water that it may have procured. Finally....FINALLY...I was able to play it. And I did, I had some fun in the first part freeing the citizens of the cursed snow globe. Then it came time to access the cursed, golden skull. I did so and when it was loading it told me that the storage system that had the DLC could not be accessed. At this point my rage had reached it's peak and I was almost aching to deface my 360 with my handy small bat, having recently registered it to get help on another game this was an option, but I held off on that urge and decided to try again today. Today, there are problems. Steve says that this may be my Xbox telling me that it is dying. I hope not. I've never had a major problem with my Xbox before, besides not playing Bioshock. Hm, maybe if it does kill itself and I send it in for repairs I may finally be able to play Bioshock.

Enough anger on my part, time for some links:
-Feeling down? Feeling neglected? Steve cares about you
-The Punisher and Eminem team up for some reason
-I wouldn't recommend it, but you too can have real Wolverine claws
-Slow Hey Ya cover
-Remember when I said I was on NPR? Well I found the episode. I think I'm about half way in, listen for Matt in Clawson, MI.
-Scout Chop
-Little Mac makes a come back
-Random facts from porn stars (oddly enough I haven't seen any nudity. Still probably NSFW though)
-Video game burlesque
-A "Remix" of Slap Chop
-New Beyond Good and Evil 2 footage?

Taking tiny pictures [07 May 2009|07:08pm]

I now have a new phone. Well, okay, not actually a new phone. It was my sister's phone but is now my phone, though if I miss your call you'll get her, "Can't call, in jail," message (working on fixing that). It seems kind of useless, since I don't really like texting, but I can flip my phone open and there's a full qwerty keyboard. I guess I can load music onto it, but I think I can only do that through V Cast, which costs money, so I would be paying for music that I already have. I kind of wanted to try the IMing feature too, but that also costs money to do.

If you were listening to NPR's Talk of the Nation today you might have heard Matt in Clawson. That was me. I was a little bummed cause they didn't really talk to me about my choices for summer movies beyond the fact that 9 does not come out in the summer, but on 9/9/09. Also, I couldn't really listen to it cause I was saying it, when I did turn it back on I only caught me saying goodbye.

The Scrubs finale last night was pretty damn good, unlike the one they had on NBC, and I guess this may just be a season finale instead of a series finale. I can't really see the series without Zach Braff. I mean they have had episodes centered around the other people, but he still seemed a part of the episode and without him there would be something missing. Then again, I could be wrong.

Edit: Voicemail message has been changed, all is right with the world.
